Abstract The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the obstacles on the heat transfer and pressure drop with assuming hydrodynamic fully developed turbulent flow and constant heat flux boundary conditions numerically. The whole study has been conducted for Reynolds numbers in the range of 10000≤Re≤20000. The governing equations are solved numerically by means of the finite volume method. In numerical calculations, standard k-ε turbulent model was utilized. As a result of numerical studies, Nusselt number Nu, friction factor f, and efficiency index η were calculated for different corrugated channel geometries. The results obtained previously in the literature [14] were compared with the study, it can be seen that results comply with other results. The most effective heat transfer enhancement is determined that at low Reynolds number and triangular obstacle.
