Abstract In this work, effect of mold surface temperature and polymer melt temperature on dimensional stability of a plastic part which is produced with Polypropylene and Polyamide 6.6 granules by injection molding process, was investigated using Moldflow Plastics Insight. In addition to this, the effect of adding different reinforcing elements(glass fiber, talc) in to the plastic matrix material on dimensional stability was investigated too. It has been determined that increasing amount of reinforcing element decreases the total shrinkage. Decreasing mold surface temperature by stages, has decreased warpage and volumetric shrinkage in PP and PA 6.6 materials. Decreasing polymer melt temperature has decreased warpage and volumetric shrinkage in varying proportions too.
