Abstract ASTM E-399 standard was developed for the determination of fracture toughness of metallic materials. Large test specimen with cracks should be used according to ASTM E-399 standard for determination of fracture toughness of ferritic steels (low and medium strength), which increases the cost. ASTM E-1921 standard (Master Curve concept) was developed to overcome the limitations of the ASTM E-399 standards on ferritic steels. In this study, five different types of ferritic steels are examined and these steels are tested by ASTM E-399 standards. MC reference temperature ( ) is determined by using the fracture toughness ( ) values of determined by ASTM E-399 standards. MC curves was plotted by reference temperature and values have been seen to inside with MC tolerance bounds.
