Abstract Controlled atmosphere (CA) storage system developed method to long period storage and transport for agricultural commodities such as fresh fruits and vegetables. The main principle of the method is not only to slow down metabolic activities and delay aging of the commodities through reducing oxygen concentration of the storage medium, but also stop the activities of all the pests such as microorganisms, insects and rats and prevent deterioration and decay of the product. The storage facilities applied to CA storage system is known as CA Storage. Automatic determination of the CA storage atmosphere and keeping under control of which automatically can not only cantribute to reduce labor costs but also obtain healty results about the composition of tje CA storage atmosphere. This rewiev is deal with the fundamental principles of the CA storage and general working principles of the equipments used fort CA storage rooms.
