Abstract In this study, 100% cotton woven fabrics which were made pre-finishing and dyeing in a business conditions primarily were exposed to 18 kGy and 30 kGy doses of gamma radiation with the source of Co-60 and 3.000.000 Ci capacity. The effect of gamma radiation with the source of Co-60 was searched to woven fabric. Reference fabrics and irradiated fabrics were applied to antibacterial, physical and chemical tests. Changing in the properties of the fabric has been examined and compared with each other. Antibacterial property wasn’t observed after the application of gamma irradiation at the fabrics. In the reference fabrics and irradiated fabrics were observed no changes values at rubbing fastness and pilling. With the effect of gamma radiation with the source of Co-60 fabrics’ breaking strength, tearing strength, fastness to perspiration and washing changes occurred a little.
